Eat Local Food!

The Watauga Food Council re-launched High Country Grown in the summer of 2018 as a marketing initiative and certification program to promote restaurants that source locally-produced products in the mountains of North Carolina, including Blowing Rock, Banner Elk and Boone.

Watauga Food Council Charter

The Watauga Food Council worked with Community Food Strategies to develop a working charter that defines and guides what the Watauga Food Council is and its role in the community.

Action Planning Session

The Watauga Food Council hosted an Action Planning Session on January 19th, 2017 at 9 AM in the Watauga Agricultural Conference Center. This workshop was facilitated by Community Food Strategies and included a locally-sourced lunch.
