Asia is a large, diverse region with a variety of local cuisines. One commonality is often a blend of several tastes together: hot, sweet, sour, spicy, salty, bitter, pungent, astringent and umami. This way of cooking has evolved and become popular in the US with more Asian-style ingredients available in grocery stores.
After this hands-on cooking class, you’ll add a few Asian-style additions to your toolbox by cooking up a curry butternut bisque, coconut braised beef noodle bowl (vegetarian option) and kimchi. Led by Ross Aglialoro, owner of eightpointfive kitchen with assistant Margie Mansure, Extension Agent specializing in nutrition and foods.
